Maps & Travel Planning

One focus of Calidri Cartography & Consulting is -as the name suggests- cartography. The target group of our new and innovative maps are not only visitors who come to British Columbia to experience the beauty as well as the nature and wilderness the province has to offer but also those who just moved here or have been living here all their life.

Our maps are designed for anybody who likes to travel and explore, especially for those traveling around by car, or RV and who want to see and discover the best and most beautiful places along their route.
As many of the most beautiful places can only be accessed and experiences by foot our maps are not only road maps pointing you to sights along your route but are also hiking maps featuring the most beautiful day-hikes and walks of the area. This way, when driving through an area you like and you want to explore by foot you do not have to buy a separate hiking map (which actually very few only exist, so good luck finding one), but you can use the same map as it will also feature interesting walks in that area.
In addition to many sights and hikes our maps also include all the topographic features you need for successful navigation as well as a lot of additional information such as regional, provincial and national parks, campgrounds, visitor centers, viewpoints, wineries and more.

The maps are not for sale yet as currently we are working on putting every effort into creating the most beautiful and informative maps possible. But we expect the first maps to hit the bookshelves by spring 2011.

In total we are planning to cover the following regions:

• Vancouver and the Lower Mainland
• Vancouver Island
• The Gulf Islands
• The Sunshine Coast
• The Okanagan
• The Rocky Mountains

Coming for the summer of 2011 we will be offering individual travel consultation and travel planning for you and your family or friends.
