About Us

Calidri Cartography & Consulting is a young Canadian company which was founded in 2010 and is based in Vancouver.
The aim of our company is to develop new approaches to traditional recreational mapping. In addition to providing you with our outstanding maps our goal is to provide you with all the travel information you need to successfully plan your visit to British Columbia.

Furthermore we want to share our knowledge of tourism, community planning and aboriginal politics and therefore offer consulting services in those fields.

Calidri Cartopgraphy & Consulting was founded and is owned by Philipp and Eva Lange who first met through their love for the outdoors in 1996. They have lived, traveled and explored most of Europe, part of Asia, Africa, Latin America and of course have extensively traveled British Columbia. They prefer to travel and explore the nature through self propelled activities (mainly hiking or kayaking) but also enjoy the comfort of a car and driving through British Columbia following not only the beautiful highways traversing the province but also exploring many of the even more beautiful backroads the province has to offer.

While Philipp holds a PhD in molecular biology and is -when he is not hiking in the mountains of BC- working in cancer research at the University of British Columbia, Eva who holds an M.A. in geography devoted herself fully to Calidri Cartography and Consulting and is the CEO of the company. She focuses on consulting interested companies and individuals mainly in the field of tourism. In addition to that she is developing not only convenient but also beautiful maps of British Columbia as well as providing individual travel consultation and other travel or cartography related services especially to researchers in the social sciences.
Philipp and Eva are both avid photographers and the photos on this website are (except for a very few exceptions) taken by them highlighting the beauty of British Columbia in summer as well as in winter.
